Help the villagers in your kingdom!

In Kane’s Plight you are Solaris Kane, and your “main quest” if you must have one, is simply to explore. There are a total of 4 towns and many quests in each. Nearly all quests can be completed in a good or evil way, and certain special quests will continue later depending on your previous actions. Since there are no battles whatsoever in this game, it’s all about the dialog, text, and crazy (but logical for the most part) quest scenarios.
There are a total of 4 skills in the game, as well as your good and evil stats.

-Survivability: Determines how you fare in dangerous situations.
-Mechanics: Lets you manipulate mechanical things.
-Beast Language: Lets you talk to animals!
-Climbing: Still not sure what this does... Oh yea, that’s right! It lets you climb!

Using these 4 skills you will be able to complete quests, complete them in different ways, and access new areas.

I really enjoyed this game immensely and found myself wishing it was a lot longer and that there were more quests. I love the fact that you are just wandering and completing quests, and that you often have to figure out where the quests are (sometimes they aren't so obvious).

The game is set up for replayablility, with every quest giving you options which determine future quests and your good/evil stats. What you can do depends on the levels of four different stats (survival, mechanics, climbing, and beast language), and there also are items you can buy to enhance those stats.

The one large flaw with the game is that if you go heavily in one direction as far as good/evil, you can't actually finish the game because you can't get your stats high enough. However, while this is a "bit" of a nuisance, since the game is made to be replayed, it isn't extremely detrimental.

The other problem I found was much more annoying. It involved the good clown quest and the way that quest was set up, I could not finish it. In fact, that was more frustrating to me than the other problem.

Overall, I would highly recommend this game. It's definitely unique and I can see so many ways that this developer could go with future games (even maybe one with a storyline :P). And, the price can't be beat :D
